Don't Get Ripped Off by the Tax Scam

Our client received this email from the 'Australian Tax Office'. Excited to see his tax return had been processed he clicked on the link. It was moments after he'd typed in his personal details that he realised the serious mistake, this was no genuine email. We're on the case to help secure his identity and recover the data stolen by identity thieves.
But with millions of Australian's expecting their tax refunds at this time of year, it can be a simple slip of the mouse that gives your personal idenetity to thieves. Beware of suspect emails that are directring you to websites; offering you money; asking for identification details; and promising rewards that feel like a lottery win. DON'T open these emails, speak with your accountant or ATO directly if in doubt.
