GPS is a vehicle tracking system which uses Global Positioning Satellites (GPS). The GPS satellite signals are continuously broadcast from an orbit of 20,000 miles and Victorian Detective Services GPS receives those signals to calculate its location.
The longitude, latitude, Unit ID and other GPS information is transmitted via a GSM Digital cellular modem to your computer or our control centre for display on a regional map.
