Acoustic Noise Generator

Produces an audio blanket that defeats eavesdropping in ceilings, walls, window vibrations, AC ducts, plumbing and other places TSCM sweeps can miss.

The ANG-2200 is designed to defeat wired microphones inside walls, contact microphones, audio transmitters located in AC outlets, and laser/microwave reflections from windows.

Most sound masking systems inject noise into an otherwise benign environment. In this environment, the occupants must raise their voices above the noise level to communicate, which invariably, eliminates the benefit of noise masking.

REI's masking system injects noise into the environment perimeter and not directly into the environment. This approach allows normal conversation while defeating eavesdropping devices that rely on acoustic leakage.

The REI noise masking system consist of a main unit (the ANG-2000) and three optional accessories that are purchased to tailor the system to the environment of concern. The ANG-2000 accessories are:

PNG-200 Portable Noise Generator

The PNG-2000 is designed as a portable acoustic noise-generating unit that can be used in a variety of ways. The noise generating circuitry has been optimized for voiceband noise masking against listening devices and is designed to reduce the effectiveness of eavesdropping devices such as microphones and tape recorders.

When multiple units are used in concert, a complete environment masking system can be easily installed in any environment. The PNG-200 can be mounted to smooth surfaces using suctions cups or simply placed in an area that potential eavesdropping devices may be present.

VDS-07 Advanced Transmitter (Bug) Detector

If you suspect your premises are bugged, for your own peace of mind, check it out. This can be used to detect, verify and locate hidden transmitters in your home, office or car. Use the VDS-07 to perform a professional RF "sweep" of your premises, including your telephone system.

Features

Similar in operation to a Geiger counter, the sensitive antenna system can be used to probe all areas of a room. As the antenna approaches the hidden transmitter, the audible tone clicks faster and faster while the ten step solid-state meter indicates the signal strength. At this point, switch modes from detect to verify to differentiate a bug from a regular radio of TV transmission. If a bugging device is present, a continuous squealing tone is generated by the VDS-07.

By sweeping the probe, this tone can lead you directly to the bug. The switch selectable sensitivity level improves detection capabilities of the unit in high signal strength areas. For private (non-alerting) listening, an earphone jack is provided. Included with the VDS - 07 is a wideband active probe which covers 5 MHz to 2500 MHz. This can be positioned up to 25 feet away from the VDS-07 by using an extension cable.

For example, the probe could be discreetly placed in a target room while the VDS-07 is monitored in another room.
